Starting a Business - 3

There are several business forms recognized by the various states. For discussion purposes only, I will be referring to the business forms recognized in New York. Furthermore, I will only be looking at Business Corporation, Sole Proprietorship, General partnership, Limited Partnership, Professional Service Corporation, Not-for-Profit Corporation, and Limited Liability Company (LLC). For this reason, you should check to see what forms are recognized in your home state and what the formation procedure is. The information could be found at your state's Division of Corporations website. To find it, run a Goggle search: division of corporations + your state.
